Thank you for your generosity!

Your incredible generosity during the 2024 Monterey County Gives! campaign raised an amazing $55,590 for our 2025 Miyawaki-inspired micro forest project!  This total will be boosted by a partial matching grant from the Community Foundation for Monterey County and the Monterey County Weekly, amplifying your impact even further. Your contributions will go toward tree planting, soil improvement, and volunteer-driven stewardship to create thriving permaculture forests in underserved areas of Monterey County. Miyawaki forests grow 10x faster, use 60% less water, and eventually require minimal maintenance—ensuring they flourish for generations to come. Check out our Events and Volunteer Opportunities

Visit our Calendar of Events for year-round local actions and volunteer opportunities. Volunteers are invited to help out in any number of activities around Monterey County. Citizens for Sustainable Marina (C4SM) holds weekly community gardening and cleanup events and outings to sweep out invasive French Broom.  Volunteers with Sustainable Del Rey Oaks meet the second Saturday of each month from 10 am to 12 pm at the Butterfly Garden (next to the Del Rey Oaks Garden Center and the tennis courts) to help tend the pollinator garden and beautify the garden.
