SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY

Climate Action is the thread that connects all of our work. We advance practical, local solutions through four interconnected practice areas: Food & Soil Health, Home Green Living, Nature Restoration, and Waste Reduction. Together they help restore ecosystems, strengthen community resilience, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and prepare our communities for a changing climate. By partnering with residents, educators, businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies, we build collaborative pathways toward a healthier, more sustainable future for Monterey County.

PRACTICE AREAS

Food and Soil Health

Healthy soil is one of our most powerful tools for strengthening local food systems, protecting biodiversity, and building community resilience through regenerative agriculture, locally grown foods, and food sovereignty.

Nature Restoration

Restoring and protecting natural ecosystems is one of the most effective ways to enhance biodiversity, strengthen resilience to climate change, improve air and water quality, and create healthier communities for both people and wildlife.

Home Green Living

Protect water sources, electrify everything, renewable energy and zero carbon transportation alternatives of public transportation, walking, biking, electric vehicles, and energy use in homes and cooking.

Waste Reduction

By choosing reusable products, reducing single-use plastics, composting organic materials, and supporting recycling and community cleanups, we can build a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient future.
