We envision a future in which individuals, businesses, and policymakers work collaboratively to create a sustainable, equitable, and resilient Monterey County, safeguarding the health of our environment and the resources needed for current and future generations.
OUR STRUCTURE
Communities for Sustainable Monterey County is an inclusive and community-responsive organization working to support a more sustainable and regenerative future for Monterey County. We organize our efforts around four interconnected Practice Areas that bring together residents, partners, projects, and community action across the region.
Food and Soil Health, Nature Restoration, Home Green Living, and Waste Reduction, and help support emerging initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and share practical knowledge and resources countywide. Building a more connected and resilient network for climate action is at the heart of our work.
With the support of more than 6,000 community members and an average of 9,000 volunteer hours each year, we advance practical, community-based solutions through our four Practice Areas.
